4 Ways Homeward Bound & Fusion Help Families

We’ll help you choose the program that best fits your teen and families needs and situation.

Struggling at Home

Weekly therapy appointments don’t seem to be making enough of a difference. We have hit a wall on our local options. We really don’t know where to turn next.

Away in Treatment

The treatment has been very helpful and we are feeling more encouraged and hopeful. Still, we are anxious knowing that we need to making changes at home too.

Coming Home

Graduation day from treatment is fast approaching. We need to know how to create the right kind of environment and plan to keep things moving forward after.

Young Adult

Our son/daughter is ready to move on from treatment and from home. Knowing how to help in appropriate and empowering ways is top priority for all of us.

Homeward Bound & Fusion’s Tailored Programs

With Homeward Bound and Fusion, families have access to specialized therapists supporting them at every stage of their teen’s journey—whether they’re struggling at home, in out-of-home treatment, or nearing completion. Our success is highlighted by collaborations with leading residential treatment programs seeking our expertise for the crucial transition to the real world. Homeward Bound offers tailored programs for any phase, including Early Intervention, Parent Coaching, Treatment Transition, and Young Adult Transition. We exist to inspire, heal, and fortify your family, capitalizing on strengths and specialized know-how for lasting positive change.

Early Intervention

If you’re like other parents, you might be asking: What’s really going on with my son/daughter? Is it worth the fight or should I just let it go? Is this just the new norm for teen behavior?

Our experience reveals that “outpatient therapy” often falls short for many struggling teens who resist being labeled as “the problem” and prefer a more personalized approach than the conventional 50-minute weekly office setting. They yearn for conversations at home, walks, or FaceTime interactions.

Enter our Early Intervention model, where an experienced, down-to-earth coach comes to you. We invest time upfront to comprehend all perspectives, crafting a robust plan for progress. Connecting with your teen on their terms, we mentor and coach them toward personal and relational changes. Our commitment extends beyond weekly sessions, offering support whenever issues arise between appointments.

Parent Coaching

As a parent with a child in treatment, you might be asking yourself: How can we tell if the changes in our son are real? Is this investment going to pay off? Aren’t we getting enough from our therapist at the program?

Feel the approaching stress of your son/daughter’s graduation? We begin by understanding your family dynamics, identifying strategies for your unique situation. Our experienced coaching fosters unity with shared principles. Collaborating closely with your teen’s program therapist, we connect with your son/daughter to build trust.

As graduation nears, we address unsettling questions. At the reunion, find comfort knowing the trusted coach will provide Transition Support for your entire family.

Transition Support

If you’re like other parents, you might be asking: When our daughter comes home, what can we expect? What do we do about her old friends? Will the changes we see in our daughter last?

Drawing on extensive research, years of experience, and invaluable feedback from the families we’ve assisted, our Transition Support service is meticulously designed to offer optimal support for families and their teens returning home from treatment.

Our hands-on model involves bringing a seasoned, down-to-earth coach directly to your home. These coaches are not only solution-focused, strength-based, and clinically savvy but are also uniquely trained to guide families through transitions, providing practical and realistic strategies for handling real-life challenges. With their support, you can anticipate and sidestep common mistakes often made by parents during the transition process.

Young Adult Transition

If you have a young adult, you might be asking: Do I continue to pay for her phone, gas for the car, etc.? Do I just let him do his own thing until he figures it out? Is she ever going to be capable of complete independence?

Transitioning into adulthood poses challenges for both parents and young adults, creating tension, frequent arguments, and strained relationships. Whether cohabiting or in independent living situations, navigating the path forward can be awkward and challenging. Recognizing the desire for increased independence in young adults and the need for respect in parent-child dynamics, our goal is to guide you towards a different approach.

Our experienced yet relatable coaches are dedicated to helping families improve relationships, providing down-to-earth support that bridges the generation gap and fosters positive change.
